Suggested Sequence of Classes

*Appropriate math level needed before enrolling in any math class. See NIACC catalog for list of courses.

 

• PHY-162 College Physics I & PHY-172 College Physics II are required for this major, while CHM-263 Organic Chemistry I & CHM-273 Organic Chemistry II are highly recommended.
• If both A&P I & II are taken @ NIACC, these courses will replace the following courses required for the Integrative Physiology major (please note: UofI wants a grade B or higher in A&P I & II):
• 27:130 Human Physiology
• 27:150 Gross Anatomy for Exercise Science
• 27:151 Gross Anatomy Laboratory for Exercise Science

 

·                     A minimum 2.75 GPA is required for acceptance into the Department of Integrative Physiology. 

·                     Completion of the course work noted in BOLD with a GPA of no less than 3.0 is required for admission to the undergraduate integrative physiology major.  At least one full semester of classes at the University is required before admission into the major.

·                     Foreign language requirement of four years of high school or four semesters of college level for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.

·                     Because there is limited enrollment into the integrative physiology major, students must submit a formal application to the departmental office on or before February 28^th for the following Fall semester.

·                     AA degree meets the requirements for general education from the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.  See your advisor for updated agreements.
