Former Trojan infielder and pitcher Tom Heithoff was tabbed as the top returning player in a recent Rivals.com article. The University of Evansville standout was selected by Rivals.com as the Purple Aces top returning player.

Last season, Heithoff was selceted 2nd-Team All-Missouri Valley Relief Pitcher. He was 4-3 with 8 saves and 2.87 ERA. He also helped UE at the plate with a .303 average, one home run and 25 RBI.

Heithoff was a two-time All-Region IX player and was the 2007 Region IX Player of the Year. Heithoff was selected as 3rd-team All-American that same season.
