Former Trojan Lukanen to Start Against Sun Devils
Former NIACC left-handed pitcher Chuck Lukanen (Apple Valley, MN) will take the ball for the Northern Illinois Huskies versus the Arizona State Sun Devils in the season opener Friday night.
Lukanen was 7-6 with a 5.56 ERA last season. The senior lefty is one of three former Trojans that have worn the Huskies jersey. Former third baseman Jesse Seykora and outfielder Danny Reed were standouts for NIU. Current outfielder Jordan Rishavy has signed to play at NIU next season.
The NIACC Trojans open there 2010 campaign Saturday, February 27 at Southeastern Illinois CC in Harrisburg, IL.
