Baseball Team Helps Clean-up Little League Diamonds
The NIACC Baseball team spent last Saturday helping the Mason City Little League organization clean-up the baseball fields at the Mason City Youth Baseball Complex.
New dirt was put down on the infields and new surface for the warning track. Weeds around the fence lines were pulled and edging was done around the infield. Also, new sod was put down in several spots.
"It was a great opportunity for our players to give back to the youth baseball players in the community." said Head Baseball Coach Todd Rima. "These little leaguers dream of playing college baseball someday, and for our players to reach out and give them a helping hand in improving the complex sets a great example for those kids."
