Preseason Training at Pike's Peak

19 men and 12 women from NIACC’s Cross Country team spent a week in Colorado August 3-10 training for the upcoming 2008 season. The athletes trained on several great trails while in Colorado, trails that included the Barr Trail which took the athletes to the summit of Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Waldo Canyon, and Pancake rocks, to name a few. In the end 28 athletes made a successful trip up Pikes Peak which tops out at above 14,000 feet.
