“We were worried about how well we would play,” Trojans coach Mark Mohl said. “We battled and rebounded well.”
Max Papendieck led NIACC with 22 points.
Chris Clausen added 14 points and 14 rebounds.

NIACC women fall to Mesa, 82-47
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The NIACC women’s basketball team faced a tall order when, following a two-week break, they returned to action against third-rated Mesa Community College.
While the Lady Trojans hung with Mesa for much of the first half, the result was an 82-47 defeat.
“We went flat in the last five minutes of the first half,” Lady Trojans coach John Oertel said. “We played with them for the first 15 minutes.”
Allison Ostermann led NIACC with 12 points.
Breanne Crandell added 10.
NIACC (2-9) returns to the court today against Chandler-Gilbert.
