NIACC MEN'S GOLF TEAM HAS A GOOD DAY AT IOWA LAKES FALL INVITE

The NIACC Men's Golf Team turned in another solid performance on September 25 at the Iowa Lakes Fall Invitational held at Brooks National Golf Course in Okoboji. The team finished 4th in a very solid field of 10 teams. Coach Chris Frenz, said "We are getting much more consistent play from all guys but we do need to have a strong 4th or 5th guy to round out the scoring... but I like the direction we are going."  The team is coming off a win last week at home. The team hung in there even against  Division I JUCO team  which dominated everyone and a four year school Buena Vista. Freshman Zach Harris of Mason City and Freshman Max Rohlfsen of Mason City were outstanding today. Those two are quickly becoming leaders and thrive on the competition at the college level. Sophmore Tyler Denny of Garner has been the most solid consistent player Coach Frenz has coached. The Sophmore Denny has such a level head during the round of play and never seems to let anything bother him. With two tournaments left this fall the team is looking to finish strong and look forward to spring.
