NIACC Foundation Scholarship Rules and InstructionsScholarships are for full-time study at NIACC.[ The scholarship deadline for 2009-2010 is March 1, 2009 ] Scholarships are for full-time study at North Iowa Area Community College. Awards are for one year only and must be fully expended before June 30, 2010. Prior to receiving the NIACC Foundation Scholarship, students must satisfactorily complete a course of study from a recognized high school or possess a General Education Development (GED) Diploma. A student may receive only one Foundation Scholarship. In the event the student is eligible for an automatic Trustees’ or President’s Scholarship, an evaluation will take place to ensure the student receives the greater award. Applications are ranked on a 100 point scoring system (maximum 40 points for the written application and 60 points for academic performance). Neatness and completeness of application are factors in selection. Do not attach letters of support to the application. For NIACC Foundation Scholarships, applicants must have an Application for Admission on file with the NIACC Admissions Office by the scholarship deadline. High school seniors or students transferring from another college must enclose transcript(s) of their most recent academic record with the scholarship application. Current Tech Prep and/or Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) students must enclose their most recent high school transcript. Scholarship recipients must be full-time students through the 4th week of classes. Withdrawal before that date will be grounds for revocation of the scholarship. Failure to accurately follow all instructions will automatically disqualify your application. Deadline is March 1, 2009 ----------------------------------------------
